Abstract

An all-optical format conversion from 4 × 10 Gb/s WDM to 40 Gb/s OTDM by using supercontinuum generation in a highly nonlinear fiber is demonstrated. Less than 2-dB power penalty is obtained after the OTDM demultiplexing.
