WDM Transmission of Y-00 Cipher Signals for High Capacity Secure Optical Fiber Networks

Abstract

Transmission capacity of Y-00 cipher increases by wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technique since Y-00 signals require no excess bandwidth. 10 channel WDM transmission each channel carrying 2.5-Gb/s Y-00 signals over 120 km was successfully demonstrated.
