Tunable terahertz switching based on chiral metamaterial

Abstract

We demonstrate a tunable terahertz (THz) switch in photoactive chiral metamaterial based on manipulating polarization conversion. The on/off state can be controlled by optical pump and the cross polarization conversion is as high as 96%.
