Abstract

Multimaterial fiber devices are fabricated from materials with disparate optical, electronic, and mechanical properties using scalable preform-to-fiber processing. Here we present recent progress in surface-emitting fiber laser, fiber-neuron interface, and the fabrication of structured nanoparticles.
