Optical Coupler Using Diffractive Optical Elements

Abstract

Diffractive optical element (DOE) is employed as optical coupler used in optical interconnection. A modified GS algorithm using smaller sampling size with high intensity uniformity and well suppressed side lobes is proposed to design DOE.
