Impact of Spectral Filtering on Energy Distributions along Fast and Slow Axes in Mode-locked Fiber Lasers

Abstract

A spectral filter was induced in polarization-insensitive mode-locked fiber laser. We find that narrowing the filter bandwidth can change the polarization state of output pulse which leads to appearance of vector solitons.
