Abstract

We propose an asymmetric transmission (AT) device consisting of a pair of coupled complementary subwavelength gratings. Asymmetric dielectric environment and near-field coupling effect are employed to realize high-performance AT with large forward transmittance of 0.96 at 1250 nm.
