Abstract

With the development of fiber-optic communication, need has arisen for optical isolators that prevent laser diodes from unstable operation caused by optical feedback from the fiber input facet and/or connector interfaces of the optical fiber transmission line. Compact optical isolators for the visible region and for the wavelength region longer than 1 μm have been reported.1,2.
