Abstract

Solid coated fiber has advantages over loose-tube fiber in ease of fiber termination and stability against fiber cable vibration. This paper describes a fiber cable design based on solid coated fiber that stabilizes transmission loss change at <0.1 dB/km in the −60 to +60°C temperature range.
