Abstract
A distributed-Bragg-reflector (DBR)-type1 dynamic-single-mode (DSM) laser2 has been developed for its mode stability and coherent spectrum under high-frequency operation. Shortening of the active region length makes the properties of the DBR-type DSM laser, such as a larger submode suppression ratio, wider temperature range,3 and larger structural tolerance for phase adjustment,4 excellent.
