Abstract
In the near future, subscriber cable networks must be able to transmit a variety of high-signal speeds, and optical fiber cable is necessary for this. A wide range of technical problems in subscriber optical fiber cable networks must be solved: quick response to service needs; high reliability; economical construction; and ease of maintenance.
