Abstract

Optical frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) technologies are promising for increasing transmission capacity. They are expected to be applied to broadband information distribution systems, point-to-point trunk transmission systems, and multinode networks. All of these applications require multiplexing/demultiplexing technique and multichannel frequency stabilizing. In addition, common optical amplifiers are improving the applicability of OFDM technologies. This paper discusses these key technologies for a 100-channel OFDM transmission.
