Abstract

Coaxial cable, as a transmission medium, is capable of carrying at least 150 high-quality television (TV) channels and virtually any other conceivable kind of communications, including high-definition TV and two-way voice and data services. Today's cable television networks are not limited by the fact that they use coaxial cable, but they are limited by their system architecture.
