Abstract

Optical frequency-domain reflectometry (OFDR) is a suitable technique for the detection of Fresnel discontinuities in optical links.1 The applications and. accuracy of a setup based on this scheme are well known: the minimum detectable reflection was found to be in the range of −50 to −55 dB,2–4 values that permit measurements of devices such as PC and super-PC connectors.
