Abstract

Wavelength conversion is being studied for future optical networks, and polarization insensitivity is desired for practical applications. Although several conversion schemes have been proposed, there is only one work that has reported on polarization-insensitive conversion using fiber four-wave mixing (FWM) with a looped configuration.1
