Fiber Bragg gratings as rejection filters and some properties of Tm doped silica fiber lasers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

By tilting the Bragg grating relative to the fiber axis it ejects light from the fiber. The dependence on tilt angle of the attenuation, ejection line width, and center wavelength are described. Recent materials and laser device work for Tm-doped Si-Ge-Al cores is presented.
