Abstract

Fiber-optic technologies are maturing rapidly for many analog applications such as RF signal distribution, remote sensing, and point-to-point telecommunications. The push for greater performance, particularly in RF efficiency and dynamic range, has driven system designers to utilize the larger optical powers available from solid-state lasers.
