Abstract

Wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) technologies have enabled the achievement of ultrahigh-capacity transmission over 1 Terabit/s within the gain band of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers Figure 1 summarizes the results of recent Terabit/s experiments.
