Abstract

Chirped fiber gratings [1] are an effective solution for dispersion compensation in dense, high bit-rate WDM systems because of the high bandwidth × dispersion figure of merit, the capability to compensate higher order dispersion [2,3], and especially the absence of non-linear effects.
