Abstract

As bit rates increase above 10 Gbit/s, a bottleneck in photoreceiver design continues to be the design of electrical post-detection amplifiers which have a low-frequency cutoff below 30 kHz, high gain, automatic gain control, ±2 dB gain flatness and bandwidths above 10 GHz.
