Abstract
The MONET program is a 5-year DARPA-funded program established to define and demonstrate how best to achieve multiwavelength optical networking of national scale The objective has been to integrate and advance enabling technologies, network element architectures, network architectures and network management to achieve high capacity, high performance, cost-effective, reliable, transparent multiwavelength optical networking.
