Abstract

Multifrequency erbium-doped fiber lasers anchored on the ITU frequency grid and using periodic filters are presented. The multifrequency operation is obtained by adding a frequency shifter in the ring cavity to prevent steady-state laser operation and single-frequency oscillation.
