Abstract

Integrability, installation expenses, network capacity and the possibility for future upgrading are compared for alternative fiber-to-the-home-network structures. The most effective structure is a passive, along-the-route-branched two-fiber-ribbon network, suitable for time domain multiplexed transmission.
