Data intensive IP transport nets

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Explosive growth in the demand for bandwidth continues and there are no signs of slowing down. Along with higher capacity, there is a demand for better bandwidth utilization and management, faster provisioning and new value added services. These demands could be met by taking the best of Layer3/2 recent advancements and combining them with the strenghts of Layer 1 technologies. This talk evaluates the next generation architecture that will efficiently support data intensive network demands of the future.
