A LINE CODING SCHEME FOR REDUCING TIMING JITTER IN WDM SOLITON SYSTEMS

Abstract

We propose the “fragmentation code" (FC), designed by exploiting the nature of collision induced timing jitter (CITJ) in WDM soliton systems. We show, by simulations, that the FC can effectively reduce bit errors due to CITJ.
