Abstract

In this paper we discuss and demonstrate the use of a tunable laser source with a built-in wavelength meter. The wavelength meter allows fast and accurate measurements of passive DWDM components with highest accuracy. The wavelength meter itself converts wavelength information into a simple diode signal and is of low sensitivity to environmental impacts.
