A novel active holographic arrayed-waveguide grating for WDM subsystems

Abstract

We describe simulation results of a novel active AWG indicating optical add/drop multiplexing with passband-flattened channels and suppressions of 15dB, and EDFA gain equalisation with a dynamic range of 12dB, based on holographic Fourier techniques.
