Abstract

Inhomogeneous gain saturation in C-band and L-band EDFA’s is compared for the 980nm and 1480nm pump wavelength bands. Results demonstrate the manner in which pump wavelength and saturation signal wavelength affects the L-band inhomogeneous characteristic.
