Adaptive chromatic dispersion controller based on an electro-optically chirped arrayed-waveguide grating

Abstract

We propose an electro-optically chirped arrayed-waveguide grating for adaptive chromatic dispersion control. Simulations show ±4460ps/nm compensation for a 8.8mm active-section length LiNbO3 device. Typical operating voltage is < 10 V with 10 pm electrode spacing.
