Dynamic routing in the crosstalk reduced optical add/drop multiplexer

Abstract

A new configuration of optical add-drop multiplexer supporting channel bypass and add/drop is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The scheme allows double passing in the grating based Mach-Zehnder interferometer, resulting an improved rejection of homodyne crosstalk.
