Homodyne crosstalk performance of reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers

Abstract

We compare the homodyne crosstalk performance of three reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers. We find different statistical distributions of power penalty for each structure. These distributions depend on network size and capacity, indicating that different structures are more appropriate for different network applications.
