Abstract

Wavelength selective filters are one of the key components for WDM communication systems, and many functional devices such as optical add-drop multiplexers (OADM) and dispersion com-pensators have been realized using Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG).1 Planar waveguide wavelength filters are attractive because of their small sizes and potential integration with other components on the same substrate, and different materials have been used.2–4
