Abstract

We have proposed an optical packet with a multiwavelength label header and have demonstrated a multiwavelength label switching node (Mλ- LSN) as a photonic packet switch.1 The Mλ-LSN analyzes the label optically. Different from an op- tical cross-connect (OXC) in a wavelength routing network, the Mλ-LSN inherently has fine granularity.
