Improved All-Silica Endlessly Single-Mode Photonic Crystal Fiber

Abstract

A novel endlessly single-mode photonic crystal fiber with a triangular core is proposed and fabricated. Compared to conventional designs having a hexagonal core, the fiber has improved robustness when scaled to large structures.
