Abstract

High-speed WDM transmission for terrestrial EDFA-based systems including field trial of 63 × 40 Gbit/s transmission using 320 km (4 × 80 km) installed NZ-DSFs and 4 × 160Gbit/s transmission over 225km is reviewed.
