Novel Arrayed Waveguide Grating Designs for Optical Monitoring

Abstract

New concepts of AWG-based optical monitoring are proposed. One design utilizes currently unused diffraction orders to derive channel information, The other focuses signals to photodiode for spectrum monitoring. Some proof of principle experimental results will be presented at the meeting.
