Raman Crosstalk in a WDM System with Multiple-Wavelength Bidirectional-Pumped Raman Fiber Amplifier

A theoretical model of Raman crosstalk and its impact on system performance in a multi-wavelength bidirectional-pumped Raman fiber amplifier is developed for the first time. Crosstalk induced by forward-pump depletion was measured and the results agree well with our theory.
