Abstract

The binary supergrating (BSG) extends the Bragg grating into frequency space, yielding a structure whose diffraction spectrum can be tailored at will. We demonstrate the BSG in a lateral satellite grating morphology, as a first proof-of-concept for adaptive spectral engineering.
