Abstract

Ultra-low slope medium-dispersion fiber has been designed and fabricated: dispersion is at 8ps/nm-km, slope down to 0.009ps/nm2-km, while effective area is around 50µm2 @1550nm. Numerical investigations of matching DCF exhibiting high effective area and small residual dispersion are also reported.
