Novel Method of Fiber Birefringence Measurement Based on Lyot-Sagnac Interferometer

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a simple and accurate optical fiber birefringence measurement method based on all-fiber dual-section Lyot-Sagnac loop interferometer. This method allows measurement of broad birefringence ranges for most common fibers.
