A Simple-Structured Independently Bidirectional 2×2 Optical Cross-Connect for Single Fiber Bi-directional Ring Networks

Abstract

As a key component in single fiber bidirectional ring networks, a simple-structured 2×2 bidirectional optical cross-connect is proposed, and its routing function is experimentally demonstrated using eight OC-192 channels with 0.8 nm of channel spacing.
