Abstract

Pump-power control of distributed Raman amplification enables dynamic provisioning, while offers a safety function against optical hazards. We use the difference in receiver sensitivity between control signal (10Mbit/s-class) and data (10Gbit/s-class) to realize dynamic provisioning.
