A depressed-index cladding filter for suppressing 1.06 µm emission in a Nd-doped silica fiber amplifier

Abstract

A depressed-index cladding fiber is studied for wavelength filtering. The filter performance is measured with varying bend radii and twists. The filter is applied to a double-cladding Nd-fiber amplifier for suppression of 1.06 µm emission.
