Polarization dependent gain simulation in dual-order Raman fiber amplifiers

Abstract

We model the effect of the degree of polarization of the pumps on the signal polarization dependent gain (PDG) in dual-order Raman amplifiers. The primary source of PDG is found to be the first-order pump.
