Abstract

A WDM/TDM-PON with λ-selection-free transmitters is presented by cascading 1×16 AWGs and 1×8 splitters and employing ASE-injected FP-LDs. 1.25-Gb/s downstream and 622-Mb/s upstream transmissions over 60 °C temperature range are achieved in all 128 channels.
