Abstract
We demonstrate a periodically-scheduled, time-multiplexed WDM ring that combines the bandwidth granularity and scalability of time-slotted WDM rings with the QoS characteristics of SONET. The ring transports SONET traffic over wavelength-switched asynchronous 10 Gb/s packets.
