Effects of Partial-Spectrum Filtering on DOP Monitoring for PMD Compensation

Abstract

We investigated the effects of all-order PMD on the DOP monitoring technique based on partial-spectrum filtering for 10-Gb/s NRZ signal. The results showed that the partial-spectrum filtering could not improve the performance of PMD compensation.
