Modeling and investigation of transient response in gain clamped Er-Yb and high concentration Er doped amplifier

Abstract

To the best of our knowledge it is the first time that the gain-clamped Er-Yb doped amplifier dynamic response is modeled and investigated. Experiments confirm theoretical assumptions. Results also allow to describe dynamics in highly-doped erbium devices such as waveguide amplifiers.
