Giga-symbol-per-second 16-QAM transmission over a single-channel Raman-amplified 100 km link

Abstract

Results of the first demonstration of single-channel Gsymbol/s 16-QAM at a microwave frequency over a long dispersion-managed fiber link are presented. The link incorporates Raman amplification and achieved a high SNR and spurious-free dynamic range.
