Nonlinear effects in phase shift keyed transmission

Abstract

Phase-shift-keyed modulation formats have recently shown superior performance in some nonlinear transmissions. This paper will review the understanding of their tolerance to various fiber nonlinearites in different transmission regimes in terms of data rate and spectral efficiency.
